Chapter One and remembering a case where he arrested the wrong man for murder. Russo and Keane both lost children and in a group charged with several infractions and separated from a wife, what happens after the meeting he attends for the first time will shock you. He goes to twelve steps is twelve steps group and Russo is there too but it’s what happens when Trevor confronts him creates a huge dynamic in this thought-provoking plot. Can someone really bring back his daughter?
Chapter 5 what’s truth and why are these me following him?
Then it gets odd and men come to his door claiming they are going to fix a gas line he cannot leave but Jericho does a quick move no cab just motorcycle and winds up there Trevor lives with the address on his card. But where is Trevor and who is that in front of the house? Then why go inside and here’s where it gets interesting yet unsettling.
Then a conversation that is more unsettling and questions about quantum mechanics. How can you forget everything you know about time, and it gets odd and the victims of Cole Stinson?
Then we define the major plot lines concerning the death of his daughter who was killed plus the others too:
The Mandella Effect.
Then we hear Michelle who manages to get him inside her house and explains her thoughts about bringing his daughter to life but exactly how?
Then the conversation gets down to recalling the accident questions about his feeling off and her home is like between different time periods. Then are Trevor’s daughters alive and he showed her a picture of them, but the Mandela Effect and her daughter was first victim and his last and six in between . His whole world changes read chapter 12-page 101 last paragraph and ghostly images the ones he’s trying to ignore. Page 104 alarm goes off and we learn why at the start of chapter 13. The scenes in this chapter are so realistic and graphic and paragraph one page 107 what is next?
In the hospital hurt and needed more things done to him but where is Michelle and how does his brother turn up? Will he leave the hospital, and he describes what happened but his brother tells it differently. What does the Mandela effect have to do with what happened now?
Meets Big John and it gets odd and why does John say he doesn’t run a chop shop? Where does he supposedly live now? He climbs the stairs enters and all his things are there including his laptop. Then does he really go and tells his brother about how driving drunk he killed Beth but did he? There are two descriptions of this accident one she’s gone the other someone drove her home. Then Jericho is determined to find the killer, but does he exist? His brother is supporting him but just where will this end?
Then called on a possible abuse case he is sent to Michelle’s house only to find her disoriented and claiming not to know him. Her husband looks unaffected and child drawn to television. Cold atmosphere what is the real problem and what is wrong with her? Then returning to his hut he rents and here is where it gets odd.
Then he and his brother decide it’s time for him to go home to his family and he’ll go to s hotel when Norma calls they have a suspect but where does he go might be a mistake as he’s bent on taking his chances if this person is home. Read page 175 paragraph two to hear his strategy and more. But the author takes us back into his past as a cop defines his rules and different results as he wonders about Michelle and why he let William off the hook. Then his rationale about futures for others is this real, or is it? Then what he sees in front of him is it him looking at himself? Then another murder? Then did he change history and a phone call how did they get this phone and the number?
Where will they send him and why there? Did he really kill Cole? The scenes that follow make you wonder normal or imagined?
Then Part 3 and where he winds up is this the afterlife or what? Then logging into his laptop pulls up Beth’s social and his brother and their dog. Then calling Jacob? The present is the same as the Mission Street Murders vacillate. Who hired the security team that hunted him and Jacob down? This gets more complicated and intense as what is real and what is not? Michelle seems to know him now and wants a deeper connection. Tells her his timeline and asks why to look for her and what is next? Page 200 answers from the past about him and removed from his position. Read page 200 and read head of case keeping silent. Yet Holmes not arrested and a shocking revelation.
Chapter 26 revelations and his ex-partner and Michelle. Big John back on his team and Russo there and why is Jericho living there why not move? Defending him and says he’s working at his own pace to IA and specificity Sam Benson is he the killer? He is retaining Carlson and Associates how? Past / future and then how he might have found a way to manipulate the Mandela Effect. How?
The truths are not what you’d expect, his final time with Michelle as a cop but how does he kill someone was this man guilty or was there someone able to cover up his deeds?
The last chapter lets Jericho replay so many parts of his life and then how does he manage to do the impossible?
Chapter 32 spells it out you have to read it and you the reader decide does he get what he started and hoped? A very thought-provoking novel with numerous characters and more than one timeline and plot points. Author Joe Clifford takes readers into many different settings and many different character situations and hopefully manages to manipulate the Mandela Effect.
