My Story

I’ve been reviewing books and hosting live author interviews for over a decade, but Just Reviews became something more on June 26, 2010—the day my sister Marcia Joyce suffered a heart attack that would take her from us two weeks later.

Marcia Joyce loved books, supported my writing, and believed every story mattered. After losing her, I created Just Reviews, MJ Magazine, and the MJ Network to honor her memory and keep her passion for reading alive. Every review I write and every author I interview on YouTube and LinkedIn is a tribute to her spirit.

I’m also an educator with 36 years in the NYC Public Schools and the author of multiple books. Thank you for being part of this journey—when you read my work, you’re helping me keep my sister’s love of storytelling alive.
